Lil Zapps

Registration

Step 1: Pay the One-Time Registration Fee

  • Visit the “Registration Fee” booking page

  • This secures your athlete’s spot for the season
    (The deposit is non-refundable and required for all athletes)

  • Fill out the basic athlete and parent info

  • Include emergency contact and cheer experience (if any)

  • Agree to required policies and waivers

  • Remainder of registration fee will be  due on or before the 1st practice.

Step 2: Submit Required Paperwork

  • All hard copies must be turned in on the first day of practice

Required documents:

  • Registration paper

  • Waiver & Code of Conduct

  •  Emergency Contact Sheet

  •  Any additional team-specific forms

Step 3: Subscribe to Monthly Tuition

  • Go to the “Monthly Tuition” booking page

  • Complete the short form and submit payment

  • This will start your monthly tuition plan. Auto-renews monthly on the day you start (i.e. you start July 29th it will charge on the 29th of each month).

  • This is needs to be completed by August 1st, 2026

LIL ZAPPS

At Voltage Athletics, Lil Zapps was created for families who want their athlete’s first cheer experience to be fun, positive, structured, and age-appropriate while still introducing them to the excitement of team cheerleading.

Lil Zapps is our non-competitive beginner cheer program designed primarily for athletes ages 3–4, though some younger 5-year-olds may also be a great fit depending on maturity, confidence level, and readiness. This program focuses on building foundational cheer skills in a lower-pressure environment that allows young athletes to learn and grow at their own pace.

Athletes in Lil Zapps will work on:

  • Basic cheer motions and terminology

  • Beginner jumps and movement

  • Introductory tumbling skills

  • Coordination and body awareness

  • Listening and classroom structure

  • Confidence and teamwork

  • Simple choreography and performances

What makes Lil Zapps special is the balance between structure and fun. Young athletes are introduced to the team environment, learn how practices work, and begin developing independence and confidence — all while keeping expectations realistic for their age group. Practices are designed to keep athletes engaged, encouraged, and excited about cheer without the intensity or pressure of a higher-level competitive team.

Why Choose Lil Zapps Over Tiny Sparks?

If your athlete is old enough for both Lil Zapps and Tiny Sparks, the best fit usually comes down to personality, maturity, and readiness level.

Lil Zapps may be the better choice if your athlete:

  • Is newer to organized sports or team settings

  • Benefits from a slower-paced learning environment

  • Is still building focus, confidence, or independence

  • Wants to have fun and learn cheer basics without competition pressure

  • Would thrive in a more relaxed and beginner-focused atmosphere

Tiny Sparks is designed for athletes who are ready for a more structured and competitive experience with increased expectations, commitment, and skill progression.

Many athletes use Lil Zapps as the perfect stepping stone before transitioning into Tiny Sparks or other competitive teams in future seasons. It allows young athletes to build a strong foundation, fall in love with the sport, and gain confidence before moving into a more advanced program.

At Voltage Athletics, we believe every athlete develops differently, and there is no “right” timeline. Our goal is to place athletes where they will feel successful, supported, and excited to grow.
